For many people, there is nothing more daunting in life than starting a journey alone. The fitness journey may be even so as even though some goals can be achieved along the way, it is a lifelong process. As soon as a moment of weakness is shown, the principle of reversibility kicks in, and you can kiss all your hard-earned gains goodbye. A fitness journey may indeed be tough. But that is what makes it fun! Even more so when you get to walk it with a friend.
Having a workout buddy will help you get out of bed at 5:15 in the morning for that 6 am run, push that extra mile when your body is screaming to stop, or encourage each other to take that first step in the gym or class.
Having a workout buddy is truly an amazing experience. You get to share those hard painful moments, and these experiences will strengthen your relationships like no other! Finding a workout buddy is not that hard either. It can be a colleague, friend, family member, or even your dog. If you are really struggling to find a partner, you can choose to join a class. Once in, you will be amazed at how accepting people truly are and how easy it is to go with others when there is a common goal- getting fit!
A training partner can help you motivate each other, push harder, and keep each other accountable.
